The Company's Oils

The products of Azienda Agraria Spinuzza Pietro are grown in a natural way and are designed for your well-being

Extra virgin olive oil is obtained solely from the pressing of the olives and is consumed directly without any further physical-chemical treatment. Compared to seed oils, rich in polyunsaturated, from the point of view of health extra virgin olive oil has no comparison: it oxidizes less because it is rich in fatty acids with a low degree of unsaturation (monounsaturated, oleic acid) and it is the only food oil extracted with exclusively mechanical procedures (pressure, centrifugation).

We start the olive harvest from mid-October to make sure that the oil, cold pressed, has a very low acidity of 0.1%. The lower the acidity, the better the quality.

We have about 5000 olive trees between leccino, frantoio and moraiolo which are the three varieties that make up the DOP Umbria.

The most delicate leccino, the medium intensity frantoio and the stronger taste moraiolo. In the company you can buy the mono varieties, or the classic version, which is a blend of the three, which gives an oil with a full flavor and can be used for all types of preparations, finally we have the flavored oils obtained with the addition of natural essences to the classic version of our extra virgin olive oil.

With our fruit, harvested at the right point of ripeness, we produce delicious jams like our grandmothers did, no preservatives, just time and a lot of patience! We have Classic Jams such as apricots, apples, quinces, peaches, pears, cherries, plums, persimmons, pears and grapes and apples and grapes. We also have Sfiziose which are delicious paired with cheeses: onions, winter watermelon, peppers, green tomatoes, winter squash. With cheeses, try also that of pears or pears and grapes; “Don’t let the farmer know how good the cheese with pears is”, let alone with pear jam!

The preparation of the jams begins with cleaning and cutting the fruit into pieces, adding sugar (20-30% of the weight of the fruit), everything cooks for hours and is stuffed into a boil.

In addition to jams, with the vegetables from our garden, we produce condiments for pasta such as tomato in piccantella and seasoned tomato; we also pack sweet and sour vegetables and caponata respecting the Sicilian origins of the Spinuzza family.

In all cases, both for salty, sauces and jams, the boiling glass jars are immediately placed in special containers where they slowly reach room temperature, this system creates the vacuum that makes the product as freshly made for a long time. time, keeping its color, aroma and flavor unaltered without the use of preservatives.

Our products are not certified BIO but we guarantee our customers the absence of preservatives, additives and anything else that is not natural.
